NFL Charities is a non-profit making charitable organization, that was established by the member clubs of the National Football League (NFL) in 1973. It enables the clubs to collectively make grants to charitable and worthwhile causes at the national level.

Join the Team - NFL Charities
NFL Charities supports programs and initiatives that deliver education and youth. Each year, awards $1 million in support of the philanthropic work. The NFL's Join The Team platform encourages people to unite with NFL teams, players and partners to give back to communities across America. Join The Team is a "call to action"—a way for everyone to come together and make a difference through community involvement.

NFL Charity Golf Classic for Children
They have led the way for the annual Ricky Proehl NFL Charity. Since 1996, Ricky Proehl and a loyal team of volunteers have led the way for the annual Ricky Proehl NFL Charity Golf Classic, which has provided over $700,000 for various children's charities within the state of North Carolina.

NFL Charities has also partnered with BGCA by providing $816,000 in Impact. NFL Charities supports programs and initiatives that deliver education and youth. The NFL accomplishes this goal by providing funds and assistance to establish or supplement existing after-school facilities and services, including tutoring, mentoring, career training, computer education and access to sports programs.
